Glass EE2 Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2 supplies the wearable hardware.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Purpose and implementation
I developed an Android application for Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2 that combines image capture, optical character recognition, speech interfaces, and locally run AI models. A custom mount adapts the hardware to my existing glasses.
Application capabilities
The application captures images and uses OCR to extract text. Speech-to-text supports voice input, while text-to-speech provides audible responses from the AI assistant.
The prototype explores hands-free access to information for everyday tasks and technical troubleshooting. The capability map shows the relationships between input, processing, and output.
Custom frame mount
Google Glass was designed for a proprietary titanium band or specially made frames. I wanted to use my existing blue-light glasses instead.
I designed and 3D-printed a mount for those frames, adjusting the geometry over several iterations to fit the Glass hardware.
